Hi All,
I work for a company (passportsystems.com) that is looking to develop a product using the Neo Freerunner(http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Neo_FreeRunner) in a mesh networking environment.
Ideally we would like to use the new 80211s standard, and hence the open80211s implementation. Unfortunately the Neo Freerunner's WiFi driver is the Atheros ar6k driver(http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/ar6k), which is not currently supported by open80211s. . We would like to port the ar6k driver to utilize the new mac80211 stack, and therefore open80211s. Unfortunately our internal staff knows very little about wireless drivers, and we would like to seek the expertise of the community.
We would like to find any willing developers who we could pay for their time to get open80211s running on the Neo Freerunner's WiFi hardware.(http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Neo_FreeRunner_Hardware#WiFi_Module)
If anyone has interest, or knows of a better place for me to find a developer please don't hesitate to contact me at ryan at passportsystems.com
Thanks for your time,
Matt Ryan
